Everyone on the island has a Hajhir story.

Even when the coast is hot or windy, the Hajhir Mountains offer a refreshing escape—for both goat

herders and adventurous travelers. With cooler temperatures, misty rain, and rolling fog, this highland

sanctuary feels like another world. The Hajhir range is also the gateway to Skant, the highest region

on the island. Towering cliffs, panoramic views, and rare endemic birds and plants make it a must-

see destination. What more could you ask for? If you haven’t experienced this side of Socotra yet,

now is the time. The mountains are calling.
